For more that thirty years, U.S. Tsubaki has been manufacturing pin-oven chain for two-piece aluminum can manufacture. We have worked directly with the end users at these can plants to ensure that the chain design meets their needs. The application is one of the most demanding in the market, with fast speeds and high temperatures. By manufacturing chain with optimum heat treatment, controlled chain length, high temperature tips, high temperature lube, and prestressing, excellent performance can be achieved.
For applications to achieve the next level of performance, with hotter ovens and faster speeds, 6028 chain was developed. The pin diameter of a 6028 chain is .280 inches instead of the regular .234 inches, which yields 50% more bearing area and runs on standard RS60 sprockets.
