Side roller and top roller chain both provide excellent conveyor solutions, especially when product accumulation is required. The product can be stopped at any time, yet the conveyor can continue running at regular speed.
The choice of style lies with the designer – the top roller versions are narrow, while the side roller versions allow for shorter height. For heavy objects or fast conveyors, brake rollers may be specified to accelerate product up to speed even quicker.
