Installation Coordinator

US Tsubaki Holdings, Inc. Conveyor Operations Division, a manufacturer of high tech material handling systems and components to the automotive industry is seeking an Installation Coordinator in Portland, Tennessee.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinates with Engineering Department in preparing drawings for mechanical and electrical installation.
  • Create project schedules to include shipping, installation, commissioning, customer training and equipment handover.
  • Create conveyor installation bid packages.
  • Conduct multi-vendor bid meetings with potential subcontractors and negotiate as needed.
  • Proactively establish, clarify, monitor, and maintain installation budgets for each project.
  • Supervise all installation work at the job site to ensure safety, quality and schedule.
  • Issue daily progress reports. Monitor and track extra cost items with customer and/or subcontractor.
  • Serves as a liaison with the customer for all matters to ensure proper paperwork is processed, work areas are defined, a safe environment is maintained, project scope and schedule are followed, etc.
  • Report to home office regarding new project opportunities, customer problems or support needs, etc.

Requirements:

  • Successful applicants should possess a minimum of Associates degree.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience in a manufacturing or construction setting.
  • Experience with welding, pneumatics, and electrical required.
  • Troubleshooting skills and ability to read mechanical drawings (metric), electrical schematics and ladder logic.
  • Experience with conveyors, PLC’s, and VFD’s preferred.
  • Communication and people skills are critical, especially due to direct project management activities with customers.
  • Travel may average 25-40%.

Electrical Engineer

US Tsubaki Holdings, Inc. Conveyor Operations Division, a manufacturer of high tech material handling systems and components to the automotive industry is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Portland, Tennessee.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for electrical and controls engineering design of conveyor systems to meet customer requirements.
  • Purchasing appropriate electrical/controls parts and components.
  • Analyzing issues and determining causes to provide solutions to the issues.
  • Providing installation supervision support during field installation at job sites.
  • Wiring support at the Portland facility.
  • Inspecting and testing control panels and conveyor systems.

Requirements:

  • Successful applicants should possess a minimum of Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Able to prepare and present training programs and discuss product applications and design applications with customers.
  • May travel occasionally to customer sites for meetings, job installations, support, etc. Travel time average around 20%-30%.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCad and PLC / HMI / VFD programming. (Rockwell A-B, Mitsubishi, Toyopuc preferred).
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
