EHS Coordinator Purchasing Assistant     

EHS COORDINATOR

The EHS Coordinator will be responsible for providing technical EHS support to all levels of employees throughout USTA.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Implement, train, and maintain all corporate environmental, health and safety programs.
  • Coordinate EHS training programs for all employees and outside contracting services.
  • Provide comprehensive, administrative and organizational support for the entire EHS program.
  • Support the overall Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies on a local, state and federal level and conformance to the ISO14001 standard.
  • Assist with providing and maintaining appropriate procedures, policies, and forms with regards to requests made by local, state and federal regulatory agencies .
  • Ensure all required training records have been received from employees and ensure all such records are properly filed and that all training documents are properly catalogued in the QMS systems. 
  • Facilitate workplace safety incident reporting, and lead team approach to accident investigations. Determine root cause, and develop, assign and track corrective action request regarding near miss and workplace accidents. 
  • Promote EHS awareness through internal correspondence, specific training programs, and company communication boards. 
  • Conduct periodic equipment and inventory inspections (example: Eyewash stations, fire extinguishers etc.)
  • Assist with coordinating, scheduling and filing records for Annual Pulmonary Testing and Audiograms for employees. 
  • Audit, update and maintain SDS for facilities, as well as labeling program
  • Assist with ensuring hazardous waste is shipped off-site to a licensed disposal company in accordance with State and Federal requirements. 
  • Assist to maintain, file and ensure manifests are within the compliance of State and Federal regulations for hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Science discipline 
  • 1 -3 years of related work experience working in a manufacturing environment.  (Related Work/Study or Internships will be considered)
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Immediate Microsoft Office Experience with emphasis in Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent at planning, organizing and managing multiple priorities. 
  • Basic understanding of OSHA Regulations and General Industry Standards.
  • Ability to effectively train.
  • Basic understanding of OSHA Regulations and General Industry Standards.
  • Ability to work with individuals across of the organization, including management and customers.
  • Basic understanding of relevant local and regional regulatory and legal requirement.
  • Appropriate urgency when it comes to reacting to safety concerns.

purchasing assistant

The Purchasing Assistants primary responsibilities for those indirect Suppliers supporting office supplies, rental programs record management programs and supporting the Procurement/Production Planning Team.  Assist Buyers with timely and accurate processing of receipts and Invoices, while also providing support to resolve discrepancies.  Primary responsibility for Supplier certifications and records to be maintained and updated as required by our policies and procedures.  Assist Department with direct material planning as needed (start of production, program end of life).

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Review requests and inventory in order to procure general office supplies need to support company requirements. 
  • Coordinate weekly rental programs for employee uniforms, rags, and rugs as well as record storage and shredding needs. 
  • Assist/support Buyers with discrepant Invoice resolution. 
  •  Assist in completion of required NAFTA documents submitted to USTA Customers.
  • Track and maintain Supplier records. Including but not limited to: Certificate of Insurance, Acknowledgement Forms and ISO/IATF Certificates 
  • Review Requisitions/Critical Shortage List 
  • Perform data entry of all purchase orders. 
  • Sends new purchase orders to vendors. 
  • Prepares purchase orders/RFQ’s.
  • Receives and contacts vendors to find out status of orders
  • Aid in receiving of goods and services as needed
  • Assist in the scanning and filing of department documents. 
  • Support Buyers with AP Statements Reconciliation; confirming Invoice payments receipt accuracy and accurate paperwork. 
  •  Adheres to purchasing policies, processes and procedures. 
  •  Negotiates best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specific budgets and schedule requirements. 
  •  Interfaces with all departments and resolves problems and issues as necessary. 

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree Preferred but Not Required
  • 1 – 3 years of job related experiences 
  • Manufacturing environment a plus but not required. 
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word required; 
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work; excellent time management skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.   Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and decision making with the ability to analyze situations and present a resolution(s).

Material Handler—2nd Shift

US Tsubaki Automotive, LLC a world-class manufacturer and supplier of Timing Chain Systems to the automotive industry is seeking a Material Handler—2nd Shift in Portland, Tennessee.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Operate fork lift trucks.
  • Remove materials from warehouse racks using lot control and FIFO control as directed.
  • Prepare and place material boxes for Assembler’s access.
  • Load conveyors with empty trays and remove completed trays.
  • Inspect and palletize completed trays.
  • Remove kit pallets, shrink wrap and store in designated location.
  • Maintain production line flow by providing constant flow of material to line.
  • Maintain equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Report faulty operation or defective material to supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior assembly related experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with EDI, QAD or other manufacturing software and MS Office Suite a plus.
