INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN

This is a weekend shift-full time position. Must have a valid electrical license.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Plan, layout and perform all required operations in the installation, maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment and wiring used in various plant departments, services, offices, lighting and power circuits, starters, cranes, hoists and other auxiliary equipment. 
  • Disassemble ordinary units, determine extent of troubles, troubleshoot electrical problems, repair and/or replace defective parts or wiring and reassemble.
  • Install computer or numerical controlled equipment, troubleshoot and diagnose problems, determine the extent of the trouble and remedy the problem. 
  • Disassemble, clean and repair motors and reassemble.

Requirements:

  • Manufacturing background preferred. 
  • Work conforms to the details of the Electrical Code of Massachusetts and the incumbent must be licensed to work in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. 
  • Must have valid electrical license, PLC experience preferred.

Requirements:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalency.

  • Have the experience necessary to recommend machine modifications.

quality engineer (customer)  

US Tsubaki Automotive, LLC a world-class manufacturer and supplier of Timing Chain Systems to the automotive industry is seeking a Quality Engineer (Customer) in Chicopee, Massachusetts.

The Quality Engineer (Customer) will be primarily responsible for meeting our quality requirements and goals as they relate to internal quality as well customer quality, problem resolution, documentation and change approval. In addition, this individual will also provide leadership for continuous improvement team activities in specific manufacturing departments.  Coordinates activities with Sales, New Product Introduction, Product Engineering, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality Assurance.  

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead all aspects of customer satisfaction for your assigned projects. Monitor customer websites daily and review Customer specific requirements periodically. Keep the USTA customer complaint database up to date.
  • Lead responses to customer complaints and concern activities, including internal notification of the problem, containment at USTA, customer and supplier, verification of material for certified shipments, sorting, root cause investigation, corrective action implementation and communication with the customer. Act as the single point contact for the customer and internally for all quality issues.
  • Participate in the APQP teams for new project launches and localizations. Complete all customer and supplier submissions for your assigned projects. Ensure that the CFT is on track with APQP activities, attend and actively participate in CFT team meetings. Provide clear status updates at the APQP report out meetings. Ensure that all submissions are on time and accurate, use lab personnel to assist in data collection and submission preparation.
  • Identify all quality requirements to the suppliers in writing when the POs are placed. Prepare control plans and inspection plans for new projects. Review and revise control plans and inspection plans at least annually. Ensure that prototype orders and requirements are completed on time with quality parts and paperwork.
  • Identify supplier related issues that affect customers or USTA quality.  Coordinate with SQE to initiate SCAR to those suppliers. Work with the Materials department & SQE to follow up on supplier issues and close SCARs. As needed, assist the Materials department with supplier improvement projects.
  • Support the production floor with problem-solving, data analysis and investigations. Participate in CI teams and in order to prioritize problems and work to implement solutions. Provide quality-related training to the shop personnel. Make basic presentations to help new and current employees understand the role of SPC, Kaizen, QC, and other quality tools. Internal Audit team participation.
  • Report to management any issues prior to missing an objective.
  • Ensure quality requirements are met and improved upon for internal manufacturing processes.
  • Lead internal meetings to drive corrective actions to various departments. 
  • Perform various internal quality and process audits to ensure conformance to IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Perform various internal layered process audits to improve internal quality and production continually.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 5+ Years of Automotive Manufacturing Experience; Three (3) years Quality Engineer experience is highly desired 
  • Engineering or in a related field of study and at least five years of QE leadership experience in an industrial and automotive environment. Experience with lean manufacturing, project management, and ISO procedures is preferred.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively in high-stress situations.  Must be able to work independently while maintaining a distinguished level of time and priority management.
  • Proficient problem solving and root cause analysis skill.
  • Preventative action experience with cost savings analysis.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word required; 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work; excellent time management skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.   Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and decision making with the ability to analyze situations and present a resolution(s).

U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC, an international tier-one supplier of high-speed chain drive systems to the automotive industry, has an immediate opening for a Buyer in Portland, Tennessee.  The Buyer ensures the Manufacturing Department has the material and parts to operate smoothly. Schedule, order and coordinate the delivery of parts, materials, equipment and services used in product manufacturing according to production plans.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Explain with vendors the critical dimensions on the drawings and negotiate a price to meet the budget and ensure parts arrive as scheduled.
  • Searches inventory records or warehouse to determine if material on hand is in sufficient quantity.
  • Consults catalogs and interview suppliers to obtain prices and specifications.
  • Orders Raw material and shelf items (Bearings, sprockets, hardware etc.)
  • Confers with suppliers concerning late deliveries and identify solutions.
  • Compares prices, specifications and delivery dates and awards contract to bidders or places orders with suppliers.
  • Verifies bills from suppliers with bids and purchase orders and approves bills for payment.
  • Manage relationship with supply vendors to ensure communication and business relationship is effective.
  • Follow up on requisitions to ensure they are approved timely and PO’s are issued and delivered.
  • Actively looking for new suppliers and determine if they should be considered for our business needs.
  • Other tasks, functions, and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree 
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of related work experience in a manufacturing setting. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. AutoCAD knowledge is preferred.

Material Handler—2nd Shift

Essential Job Functions:

  • Operate fork lift trucks.
  • Remove materials from warehouse racks using lot control and FIFO control as directed.
  • Prepare and place material boxes for Assembler’s access.
  • Load conveyors with empty trays and remove completed trays.
  • Inspect and palletize completed trays.
  • Remove kit pallets, shrink wrap and store in designated location.
  • Maintain production line flow by providing constant flow of material to line.
  • Maintain equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Report faulty operation or defective material to supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior assembly related experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with EDI, QAD or other manufacturing software and MS Office Suite a plus.
