U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC, an international tier-one supplier of high-speed chain drive systems to the automotive industry, has an immediate opening for a Production Material Handler in Portland, Tennessee.


Essential Job Functions:

  • A Operate fork lift trucks.  
  • Ensures document and data are controlled per ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.  
  • Remove materials from warehouse racks using lot control and FIFO control as directed.  
  • Prepare and place material boxes for Assembler’s access. 
  • Load conveyors with empty trays and remove completed trays.  
  • Assists with constructing process flow charts / work instructions, etc.
  • Inspect and palletize completed trays.
  • Remove kit pallets, shrink wrap and store in designated location.  
  • Participate in quality ISO 9001:2015 /environmental ISO 14001:2015 audits to help identify and resolve quality and environmental system deficiencies.  
  • Maintain production line flow by providing constant flow of material to line.
  • Ensure quality requirements are met and improved upon for internal manufacturing processes.  
  • Other tasks, functions, and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months of forklift operation and related experience.
  • Equivalent combination of training and 3-5 years of QE experience

Essential Job Functions: Under general supervision, lead an assigned production team by performing the following dutie

  • Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees for the assigned area
  • Ensure company policies are being enforced and followed
  • Communicate effectively with management and with the operators
  • Train operators
  • Lead by example
  • Motivate employees in a positive manner.
  • Ability to look for ways to improve quality, safety, and production
  • Understand production schedules and placement of operators to ensure shipments are met
  • Follow directions and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Minimum 12 months of related experience.  
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Must have basic computer skills, math skills and ability to read and comprehend written instructions.  
  • Must also have knowledge of 5S, knowledge of equipment, processes and basic troubleshooting skills.
