Quality Engineer

Essential Job Functions:

  • Primarily responsible for meeting our quality requirements and goals as they relate to PPAP, problem resolution, documentation and change approval.
  • Provide leadership for continuous improvement team activities in specific manufacturing departments.
  • Coordinate activities with both Manufacturing and Quality Assurance, particularly on issues related to customer requirements.
  • Active participation in defining inspection requirements, acceptance limits and inspection plans to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Identify areas for improvement related to customer quality and recommended solutions to identified problems. Implement approved changes using quality principles and document requirements on a timely basis.
  • Work closely with manufacturing operations to identify and resolve production and quality system deficiencies.
  • Help facilitate continuous improvement and learning across functional areas through training and communication of quality initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline.
  • At least 3 years of Quality Engineer experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, high volume automotive manufacturing company.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, project management and ISO procedures are preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to travel as needed, including internationally.
  • ASQ certified is a plus.
  • Familiar with TS16949 certification requirements.

Cost Analyst

US Tsubaki Automotive, LLC a world-class manufacturer and supplier of Timing Chain Systems to the automotive industry is seeking Cost Analyst in Chicopee, Massachusetts.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform routine cost accounting functions – monitor Standard Cost changes, etc.
  • Provide oversight of production variance follow-up
  • Responsible for all aspects of fixed assets including capital requests, asset ledgers and depreciation calculations, and our fixed asset inventory
  • Reconcile inventory valuation on a monthly basis; review for accuracy
  • Review accuracy/appropriateness of valuation of various inventories
  • Assist with month end closing (i.e. production reporting and journal entries)
  • Complete special projects as requested
  • Responsibility for establishing and maintaining product standard costs
  • Assist with annual standard cost roll
  • Assist Marketing and Sales with New Product Development and Promotional costing
  • Work with production staff to improve efficiencies and reduce variances
  • Maintain data integrity via computer skills for inventory cost

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance from four-year college or university
  • 1 to 2 years of related experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Professional designation preferred (CPA, FP&A or CGMA) but not required
  • Experience with a major ERP system is a plus
  • Intermediate to advance Microsoft Excel skills required

Essential Job Functions:

  • Following work instructions and/or route sheets, assemble and/or pack products for various departments.
  • Inspect machinery at beginning of shift and notate on check sheet.
  • Clean and/or lubricate machinery as required.
  • Inspect and place parts in designated trays.
  • Meet specified quantity and quality guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Report faulty operation or defective material to supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior assembly experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with EDI, QAD, or other manufacturing software and MS Office Suite a plus.

Material Planner

Essential Job Functions:

  • Issuing and managing production schedules
  • Coordinates priorities between Production, Materials and Logistics
  • Reviews production reports for accuracy
  • Inventory control and cycle counting
  • Makes and posts production graphs for the shop floor
  • Continuous Improvement Activities.
  • Manages system for setup and operations (QAD, Freedom, EAM, IQS)
  • Assists Plant Manager as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma. Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience and computer skills including Microsoft Office programs. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form.
