ASSOCIATE PROGRAMMER/ADMINISTRATOR - ENTRY LEVEL

The entry level Associate Programmer/Administrator will support the organization’s programming and DB administration needs. Candidate must be willing to learn technologies in support of a team of programmers and administrators. Primary focus would be developing in Progress in a QAD ERP environment and UNIX administration. Candidates with limited related experience will be considered, with training provided to grow and development into role.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Knowledge of multiple programming languages.
  • Knowledge of relational databases including but not limited to Progress/OpenEdge, Microsoft SQL.
  • Experience working in a team setting with clients and field consultants to define specifications, document the solutions.
  • Willingness to learn new languages/technologies.

Requirements:

  • Progress 4GL, Python, NodeJS, C#, VB.NET, C++, Microsoft .NET a plus.
  • UNIX Administration (Red Hat/Centos) and Management and shell scripting
  •  Knowledge of QAD ERP a plus.
  • 4-year degree in computer science or equivalent experience a plus, but not required.
  • ISO 9001/14,0000 experience.  
  • Effective communicator, with the ability to clearly articulate verbal and written communications.
  • Understanding of Business, Manufacturing Practices and Methodologies, and Financial/Accounting expertise a plus.

DISTRICT SALES MANAGER - TERRITORY 42 (FL AND ga)

Currently, Tsubaki has an excellent opportunity for a District Sales Manager in our Florida and South Georgia sales territory.  

Essential Job Functions:

  • Management of the Florida and South Georgia sales territory through sales calls, promotion of all product lines and technical support to current customers.
  • Identification and development of new business.
  • Providing reports and updates to sales, marketing and management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Two (2) to Four (4) years of sales or marketing experience in the power transmission or related industry.
  • Outside sales experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel (includes overnight travel).

SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

Currently, Tsubaki has an excellent opportunity for a Systems Administrator for our corporate headquarters in Wheeling, IL.  The Systems Administrator will provide hardware and software technical support.  Responsibilities will include interfacing with the customer to track, record, and document help desk requests and issues. 


Essential Job Functions:

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the host computers by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair. Ensures that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained. Applies revisions to host system firmware and software. Works with vendors to assist support activities. 
  • Escalate support requests as necessary following established procedures. 
  • Monitor Helpdesk and telephone requests for Service Level Agreement (SLA) violations and escalates as required. 
  • Maintain technical logs and documentation according to departmental procedures. 
  • Review project plans, coordinate project activity, and implement MIS initiatives.
  • Review and execute organizational goals, policies, and procedures for the specific strategic recommendations related to the MIS Department. 
  • Administer/troubleshoot servers, storage, laptop and desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, company mobile phones, software deployment, security updates and patches
  • Responsible for Server maintenance, patches and upgrades, Active Directory maintenance and security administration, Data Backup Systems and Disaster Recovery and Microsoft Enterprise applications.
  • Provide after-hours coverage and support as needed. 
  • Knowledge of VMWare Virtual environments.
  • Analyzes specific security requirements for supported systems. Creates documents and maintains a step by step procedure manual on each layer of the system for each type of system specific security; includes new systems as they are added to the network. Assures that system integrity and security are maintained for all business services.
  • Responsible for LAN administration, which includes maintaining secure network access at all levels, managing user access for all systems, and adhering to tasking requirements as per designated termination policy to ensure network availability, integrity and security in accordance with established procedures.
  • Other tasks, functions, and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of six (6) years’ work experience as a Systems Administrator.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an IT or related field.
  • Advanced PC/laptop software knowledge and skills, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting and fighting viruses/malware. 
  • Demonstrated analytical ability to solve problems.  Broad base of technical skills to clearly diagnose and solve problems relating to hardware and software issues. 
  • Effective interpersonal skills for interaction with all levels of staff, clients, vendors and consultants. 
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and demonstrated ability to work as a team player. 
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to quickly adjust priorities and the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time. 
  • Proficient knowledge of VMware 5.5,6.0, 6.5 Enterprise features.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft software including Windows Server, Office 365, SQL 2007-2016, MS RDS (2016), SCCM 2016.
  • Proficient knowledge of networking and enterprise-wide printing.
  • Linux system administration experience a plus
